Interviewer is a next-generation interview engine designed to help organizations hire top global talent through intelligent interviews, unbiased assessments, and data-driven hiring decisions. The platform empowers recruiters and hiring managers to conduct structured interviews, evaluate candidates fairly, and streamline the overall hiring process.

How It Works

The platform empowers recruiters to create detailed job profiles and efficiently manage candidate pipelines. With smart interview scheduling, it automates the process and supports multiple time zones, ensuring a seamless experience for global candidates. An AI-powered question bank provides curated and intelligent interview questions tailored to specific roles, enhancing the evaluation process. Candidates can participate in structured live interviews or conveniently submit recorded responses. Hiring managers benefit from unbiased, data-driven assessment reports with clear scoring metrics, making evaluations more transparent and accurate. Finally, decision-makers can collaborate directly within the platform to reach seamless and confident hiring decisions.

Our Contributions

We conducted extensive UX research to understand recruiter pain points and candidate expectations, which shaped the foundation of the design process. End-to-end user flows were created for recruiters, interviewers, and candidates to ensure a seamless experience across all roles. A modern, clean, and accessible UI design system was developed, adaptable across both desktop and mobile platforms. AI-driven components, such as intelligent question generation and bias-free scoring, were integrated to enhance efficiency and fairness. Finally, high-fidelity prototypes were delivered in Figma, ensuring a smooth and effective handoff to developers.

Challenges & How We Solved

One of the main challenges was designing for multiple user roles, as recruiters, interviewers, and candidates each had distinct needs. We addressed this by creating role-specific dashboards and tailored workflows for each persona, ensuring an intuitive experience for all users. Another critical challenge was promoting bias-free hiring UX, since subtle design choices can unintentionally influence evaluations. To solve this, we implemented neutral color schemes, anonymized candidate profiles, and structured assessments to foster fairness. Additionally, global accessibility posed a challenge, as the platform needed to function seamlessly across different time zones, devices, and varying bandwidth conditions. We overcame this by designing lightweight, responsive UI components optimized for both desktop and mobile platforms.

Design System & Tools

The design process leveraged Figma as the primary tool, with FigJam and InVision used for wireframing and prototyping. The typography and color palette were chosen to be modern, minimal, and accessibility-first, ensuring clarity and inclusivity. Iconography was designed to be simple and universal, promoting cross-cultural understanding, while micro-animations and interaction design elements enhanced the overall interview experience with smooth, intuitive transitions.

Key Outcomes

The project delivered a scalable UX/UI system that can adapt to future product features, helping establish Interviewer as a trustworthy and professional hiring platform. It enhanced recruiter efficiency while improving the candidate experience, creating a seamless and inclusive workflow. Additionally, the design laid a solid foundation for future AI integrations, enabling smarter and more efficient hiring processes.
